Unshelved Answers works best when the community actively votes on questions and answers. Think about wading through hundreds or thousands of questions, many of which will have dozens or hundreds of answers - we need a way to find the highest quality information.

In order to vote you need 15 reputation points - you get reputation points by having your questions, answers, and comments voted up by the community. In other words, a minimum amount of good judgement need to be established before you can vote. See the FAQ for more information on reputation.
