I am looking for a book that I read a long time ago and would like to read it again but I can't remember the title and author. It was where this girl went to take care of her dead friends 2 children and the widower and she fell in love. The In-laws of the widower were coming to take their daughters children away back with them. And the children pretend to run away so that they don't have to go with the grandparents and the new wife finds them hiding in the loft of the barn and she ends up falling of the ladder and becoming hurt very badly. That is the most that I can remember from the book. Please Help! Thanks.

I left this message for another "seeker." Maybe it will help you as well. *You might try searching the archives of Fiction_L (the Morton Grove Public Library's mailing list on reader's advisory issues), or joining their listserv and posing the question there. It's a fun list whether you need answers or just find the questions interesting. I've found some wonderful new (to me at least) authors there too. It's at webrary.org/rs/flmenu.html* |

Sounds kind of like "Sarah, Plain and Tall", but I'm sure that's not it. Was it for children or adults? |
